‘Leading Ladies’ was established 27 years ago, by ourselves, sisters, Deborah and Karen Gittins. Over that time we’ve had the pleasure of helping thousands of women towards creating and wearing beautiful, original gowns and outfits, for all events and occasions.

Running our business for the past 27 years has shaped our understanding of both our craft and the needs of our clients. We have a firm grasp of line, form and colour, and attention to fine detail is top of our list. Our aim for you is a gown of subtle detail and perfect fit. All without stress and worry. All we want you to do have to do is turn up for your fittings, looking forward to seeing your dream gown emerge.

In designing any gown, we like to spend a little time with our prospective client, talking through any ideas you may have, discussing the silhouette of the outfit, suggesting refining, or finishing details, until between us, we produce a detailed design sketch. At this stage, now with a clear design-line in mind, we’ll run through fabric possibilities, giving a price quotation based on design details and materials.

We carry an extensive range of fabrics and laces, drawn from all across the world to give you the widest possible repertoire to choose from. And, in the event you have a particular fabric sourced by yourself that you’d prefer to use, we’re very happy to accommodate there as well. Lastly, between us we encompass a wide variety of machine and embroidery techniques, from braiding and lace-work, to crystal and seed-beading, all to give a flawless finish to your outfit, from head to toe.
